Location: Washington, DC (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)
Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance required
We are seeking a Cyber Security Associate to join our team in Washington, DC. This role focuses on supporting IT Security Operations, developing training programs, and assisting in cybersecurity compliance and awareness. The ideal candidate will have experience in cybersecurity operations, training program development, and strong analytical and communication skills.
Perform daily operational tasks for the IT Security Operations Team, including account management, file transfers, decommissioning, and guidance on security protocols.
Support the Government in fulfilling IT security training requirements for all users.
Provide programmatic and administrative support for security training tasks, including:
Security Awareness Training
Removable Media Training
Specialized Cybersecurity Training
Prepare milestone status reports and presentations on IT security activities for various stakeholders.
Maintain comprehensive records of IT security incidents and remediation activities in compliance with Government policies.
Record and manage IT security incident data in a structured database or tool.
Submit weekly and quarterly reports detailing user training statistics and metrics.
Update training materials annually and provide guidance on waivers, Rules of Behavior, and training certificates.
Develop and update interactive online and classroom IT security training materials.
Support automation efforts for the Performance and Learning Management System (PALMS) training process.
Provide logistical and administrative support for on-site training sessions (2-3 per year).
Track and report training metrics and analyze survey results to recommend changes.
Develop briefing materials to communicate technical issues to senior leadership and non-technical audiences, focusing on IT security policy and legal considerations.
Create and disseminate IT security tips and updates upon Government approval.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree with 5-8 years of cybersecurity experience, or equivalent professional experience.
Technical Skills:
Experience developing and managing IT security training programs.
Exposure to cybersecurity operations and best practices.
Strong understanding of IT security policies and compliance.
Clearance:
Active TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to present technical concepts to diverse audiences effectively.
Proficiency in developing metrics and analyzing training effectiveness.
