Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI with appropriate polygraph
We are actively seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support our enterprise network environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network administration, troubleshooting, and security, coupled with a proven ability to deliver solutions in high-pressure, mission-critical environments.
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years in network engineering or administration.
Hands-on experience with Cisco Systems hardware/software.
Familiarity with networking products from various vendors (switches, routers, firewalls).
Certifications:
DoD 8140 Compliant with Security+ Certification (minimum requirement).
Preferred certifications: Cisco CCNA, CCNP, or Juniper JNCIA.
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (preferred).
Clearance:
Active TS/SCI with an appropriate polygraph is mandatory.
Network Administration and Support:
Provide end-to-end network administration, development, deployment, and problem remediation.
Monitor and address network issues promptly.
Perform upgrades and routine network operations and maintenance (O&M).
Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco and Juniper routers, switches, and firewalls.
Support routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
Network Security:
Design and implement secure network architectures.
Manage information assurance vulnerability alerts (IAVAs) and extend patches to designated sites.
Conduct system security scans and remediation.
Implement network security best practices, including ACLs, firewalls, and IDS/IPS.
Network Automation and Scripting:
Leverage network automation tools like Ansible and Python to optimize operations.
Develop and modify scripts for configuration and monitoring tasks.
System Analysis and Enhancements:
Analyze current network/server configurations and recommend enhancements for reliability and performance.
Propose, design, test, and implement new network capabilities.
Documentation and Collaboration:
Document network designs, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
Provide technical assistance to cross-functional teams and align with customer requirements.
Leadership and Reporting:
Deliver regular status updates to leadership in both written and in-person formats.
Oversee technical data development and maintenance, including rack elevations and installation guidelines.
Project Management:
Plan and execute IT/network enhancements.
Lead project work related to infrastructure improvements.
Strong understanding of Juniper networking devices and Junos OS.
Experience with network security tools and best practices.
Knowledge of IT service management principles.
Excellent communication skills for collaboration with stakeholders and vendors.
